I-485 Application for residency, out of processing time

Hello,
My wife came to the US with a K-1 visa. We married then she applied for her residency. She received a request of additional evidence which was the form I-765 (Notice of Action on Fiancee petition). I think I accidentally shredded this form. So we requested a copy of it to the USCIS which was denied.
We wrote the USCIS back telling them we that we tried to get a copy of it but it was denied.

We kept checking the status of her case on line and it has not changed, her case now it is also out of processing time. We made an appointment with infopass and they told us we would hear from them within 90 days. We have been waiting for more than 90 days and received no information about her case.

She has also called the USCIS, but she has only been told they are going to find out why her case is out of processing time. She has done it several times and has not received any answer yet.

We have been waiting for 1 year and 4 months already.

Does somebody know what we should do? To whom can we send a letter? Suggestions? Is this delay due to the missing of the additional evidence? Please help us!

Thank you very much for you help !!

have they told you anyhting about your case being turned down? do you remmeber what they were asking for? if possible send them the info along with a note saying you got a letter but lost. also include a copy of everything you got concerning this incident. and if nothing, call your senator.

Welcome notice

Thanks for your replies. Today I checked the status of her case and it changed ! On July 24, 2006, a welcome notice was mailed for her case. I guess we will just have to wait for it and follow the rest of the procedures.
