Hi,
Very basic question - please advise. I'd really appreciate it.

1) When one applies for I-485, is H1 status of the applicant already lost ?

2) Is it compulsary to apply for Advance Parole when applying for I-485 even
if you don't have any travel plans in near future ?
[I have my 7th year H1 and can get a visa stamped at consulate in India if
I travel after my current visa expiry.]

3) If spouse if on her own H1, and I am the primary applicant - then do I still
need to file Affidavit of Support (when applying for I-485 for both) ?

Thank you.

1. No. You can cruse on H1 upto your GC approval
2. It is not compulsory but think this. If you are unable to get stamping for any reason, AP will come in handy.
3. You need not have to file. But again there is no problem if you file one.
