I-485 and wait time

My fiance came on a fiance K-1 visa in dec 2004. We got married within 90 days and then applied for adjustment status I-485. Does anyone know what is the typical wait time and can she travel oversees while the application is in progress and what is the process. She had her fingerprints done. And did she need another physical again with I-485.
We will both appreciate your advice.

If she has valid AP she can stay outside country even after 485
is approved and enter back on AP[Advanced Parole]. She then has
to come back in this country to have her passport stamped once
485 is approved.
