I-485 and previous visa denial ?

Hi,

I applied the F1 student visa in the summer of 2001. It was denied the first time because they think I have immigration intention . Then I reapplied in the month after that and got approved.

Does this previous visa denial affect the I-485 step which I am going to file soon? Do I have to tell USCIS about this?

You need to truthfully answer questions on part 3 of I485. That's it. None is about a visa rejection.

If they call you up for an interview, and specifically ask, you need to answer truthfully. I doubt that would be a slightest problem.
