I-485 and Marriage

I've been waiting for almost one year, but I think I have to wait another year or more to get my GC.

I have a fiance(GC Holder), and we want to get married as soon as possible, but I don't know if I should or not. Is it OK to get married before I get GC approval? If my last name change, it will be a problem for I-485? Please advise me.

ur fiance is a GC holder and u r about to get ur GC in a year or so and u r afraid of name change (ofcourse u r a girl) --- nope that should not be a problem.

get married dont change ur name for now, and ur fiance is already a GC holder there should not be a problem.....

anyways ur just an A# for the INS ....................

No problems in getting married! Your status won't change since you don't have to file any new petition other than change of address (if that), with INS.

So for all practical purposes, INS doesn't even have to know you are married.
 
yeh. get married have a wonderful life. don't spoil ur wonderful marriage over this stupid GC wait.
Hopefully ur life after marriage will be so great that you will forget that u are waiting for ur GC.
