I-485 and fees/checks

Just a general question regarding I-485 and the accompanying fess/checks with the package. I will be appying for myself and my spouse. How many separate checks do i have to write?? There is the $315 fee + $70 FP fee. Can these be combined in 1 check? Also, I am assuming that I make two separate bundles/files- one for myself and one for my spouse. Please let me know. Thanks!
 
Fees

To be on safe side, use separate checks and don't forget to put a small description under "memo" example "1-485 application fee","Finger Print fee". I did the same w/t any problems.
 
finger printing fee? i am about to apply for 485 for my spouse and i am planning to submit 3 checks for 485, EAD and AP respectively. my lawyer did not inform me of any FP fees? please advice. thanks

Like I said before one single check is good enough. 485 fees includes
FP fees.
 
Fingerprint fees blunder

HI,
I have just noticed that i needed to have sent the FP fees of $70 with $315 together.
Will this delay the whole process, or will they write to ask me to bring the fees when fingerprinting.
Will the whole application be mailed back to me for imcompleteness?

Can I file I 485 myself? please help

Dear friiends,
I am on H1 visa.
I have applied for my I-485, I-131,I-765 and received EAD & AP.
I got married last month and bring my wife(H4) along with me. Now i wants to apply for her Green card.
I have talk to my lawyer....he is asking too much fees (4 K for only I 485).

If somebody help to find good ecomonic lawyer or Tell me procedure how i can do myself.... i will be very thankful to you.
 
485 no more than 800 dollar lawyer fee
ead no more than 300 dollar lawyer fee
AP no more 300 dollar lawyer fee
