I-485 and CP

Guys,

My wife and myself applied for I-485 based on my labor/I 140 approval. Its been almost 2 years now. You all know the status :( . My wife also has her own labor/I 140 approval and its for CP. Is it possible for us to apply for CP given that our I 485 pending in CSC.

What are the pros and cons.

You can go ahead and proceed with consular processing for GC based on your wife's employment status. Once you complete CP and return to US, you can send a letter to USCIS asking them to withdraw the pending 485. There should be no problem at all.
 
Interesting....I wonder if a person whose cp is denied for some reason can enter US on AP and continue with the pending 485...
