I-485 and beyond

I had my asylum approval last August (almost a year) and now I am ready to file my I-485. Is it difficult to get I-485 approved or do you guys have experience having I-485 application denied? What are the next steps to GC after the I-485 application? How long does it take? Thanks in advance.

Come on guys, two days and no replies. I need your answers. Also do I need to show one year of residence? If so, how do I show it? A letter from my landlord would be enough? THanks.

Hi there,

First of all try to use search as there are some threads about the same topic. Also download the i-485 form and the instruction for it. Read it carefully There you'll find answers for all your questions. :)

As to the time line - it's unpredictable. Go to the USCIS website and there is a form where you can find an average processing time for different applications at different offices.
