I-485 and 2nd RFE!!!

Hi Guys,

Filed I-140 and I-485 togather and I-140 got approved back in January 2005 and got first RFE on I-485 on February 2005, sent reply to 1st RFE now they are asking for 2nd RFE(updated on April 27). Haven't got receipt yet, just wondering if anyone facing the same. Thanks.

What was the initial RFE for ? Could they have additional questions on that issue ? At times, they apparently send an RFE for some formality, you reply and later they notice something with your medicals.
 
They were asking employer letter, current status etc in first RFE. Second RFE haven't received yet. Did my medicals way back in 2004. Don't think I still have more documents to submit, whatever I had, I have already submitted.Thanks again.

Can be something completely stupid. Sometimes they don't understand their own rules, e.g. that a negative CXR will supersede a positive skin test and the like.

congrats on getting approval. I have also got a e-mail from uscis about a second rfe... i was wondering what was your second rfe about? what did they ask in the second rfe?

Hi Tomcat,

They were asking proof of physical presence on Dec 21, 2000 since mine is 245i case. Also they were asking my current employer letter. Feel free to ask any question u may have. Good luck.
