I-485 / Ac-21

I work for a different employer and my Green card is being sponsored by a different company. I had applied my I-485 on 25th March 2003. However after 3 months of filing my I-485, the green card sponsoring company is out of business.

Now as more than a year has been passed filing my I-485, do I need to inform USCIS about my new employer? Will AC21 be of any help to me? Kindly please advise.

I'm also applying for my Visa revalidation at St. louis office, do I need to say 'Yes/No' on my DS-156 form for the question "Has Anyone Ever Filed an Immigrant Visa Petition on Your Behalf?"

Many Thanks...

----> There are different opinions on the board about informing CIS. I belong the camp which advocates informing the CIS proactively. Urs is an interesting case because u really arent's changing jobs. What you could do is that in the employment letter that you send to CIS, do not mention your start date. Just include similar job desc and salary.

----> Yes

Thanks atlantabhopali.

On the revalidation, I'm just curious whether will it pose any problem to give a different company name on the form DS-156 for the question "Has Anyone Ever Filed an Immigrant Visa Petition on Your Behalf?"
