I was talking to the Call center rep for the USICS as I was changing the address and she asked me for all my R. no for I-130, I-485 and I-765. Then she asked me if I had an I485A . I was wondering if anyone here filed the I-485A and under what circumstances are you supposed to?
As per my understanding if you come into the US illegally or have stayed here for more than 180 days after expiration of your Visa you need to File the I 485A.
Any opinions ? I was here on a F-1 visa , had an OPT on it and send my application to the INS before any deadline to get out.
