I-485 & 60 days

I called NSC today to check the status of my I-485 but he declined to give me any information about my namecheck but he told me you will hear in 60days about the approval. What does that mean?? How can he tell me I will know in 60days!

Sounds good. According to other's posts here, USCIS would tell you to enquire in 6 month if background check is not cleared.
 
how can you check if your name check has been cleared? I called FBI but they told me they will not talk to public anymore!
