I-485 2nd Interview Notice

My I-485 case was transfered to local office in NY. Then I had the interview few weeks ago. The Officer said "everything looks fine but we have the new Security Check so I can't stamp your passport today. We'll contact you once security check is completed. You can then come and stamp your passport."

I have been waiting for my approval letter but this morning I have received a letter from the same office. The mail includes a Inetrview notice with appointment date and a finger print notice. I already have done my last finger print (2nd FP) only 60 days ago before my last interview date. FBI also cleared that FP as I spoke with them previously.


Anyone on this board had similar situation or any idea what this could be.

What is your country of origin and citizenship? Are you from Special registration country? Category of I-485.....

Yes I am form a special registration listed country. My case is EB-3 catagory.

I would really appriciate, if anyone on this board who had security check completed after interview, please share what type of notice you got before stamping your passport.

Can you tell me how long did the NY office take to schedule your interview since your case was transfered...I am in the same boat...

Looks like NY office takes forever...
