Hi,

I am waiting for my I-1485 approval. When I looked at http://www.murthy.com/visadate.html, I saw EB2/India processing date is 08 JAN 03 and When I look at https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/jsps/Processtimes.jsp?SeviceCenter=NSC, I saw processing date as 10 Aug 2006.

I am confused which dates to follow. Does anyone know what is the exact date which USCIS process the 485 applications, Is it VISA dates or Service Center dates.

Please let me know if anyone has ideas how the 485 processing dates work and when can I expect my 485 approval?

EB2. India.
Prority Date: Jan 2002. (Labor substitution)
140 Applied : Jun, 2006.
140 Approval: Jan, 2007.
485 Applied : Jun, 2006 (No Last Update Date)
Nebraska Center

The date of Jan 2003 for EB2 is visa availability date which means unless your labor s approved before Jan 2003 for EB2 India you can not apply for 485.

The date of Aug. 2006 is date Nebraska is processing I-485 applications for those who allready have approved labor and 140 (like you I guess)

Hope this helps.

The visa bulletin dates ( from murphy ) , wich represents the "Priority Dates " for the cases left behind ( with earlier LC aproval dates ), are different from the dates presented on NSC ( from USCIS website ) , wich represents the current " Receipt Notice Dates " of the cases filed with that specific office !!!
So , you have to look like that , if your "Receipt Notice date" is current with your office ( NSC ), the case will not be processed ( delayed ) until your "Priority Date" will be current ( per Visa Bulletin you find it on Murphy )!!! This is my impression about this matter , but may be some exceptions also to this rule !!! Posible somebody else can confirm this statement or rule it different way !!!

Your PD is Jan '02 and that is current (note:pD is LC filing and not approval date). I think you should see 'movement' in your case soon. Are you done with finger printing etc?
