I-140 with other's LC

I have used some one else's LC and filed I140, it is already ONE year since I filed I140. Finally in the last week of June 2002 INS has asked for the financial data of my company, which are submitted immediately on 26 June 2002.
Since then the automated message got changed and it says --

" 30 to 60 days to complete the process, How ever because the preliminary process is complete before we have requested the additional material, it is taking 90 days to complete this kind of case."

So my question is how long it is going to take this kind of case?
I have already waited more than one year can I keep any hope on this case?

For the god sake don’t ever ever try for short cut and go for adjustment status, It is going to take long time, My case has already taken One year three months for I140 and I am still hoping it to come any time ... great patience…
 
Seems i got lucky then i hope your lawyer has't messed up something. I did the same in oct 1st week 01 and got my approval in feb1st week 02. best of luck to you guys

Could you please provide some insight as to why it has taken so long for your case to be processed?. Is INS not able to pull out the LC that your I-140 is referring to?. Did this LC that you are using already have a approved I-140, if yes was it withdrawn?.
What are your lawyers comments on this?.
Have the fax inquiries helped?.

Please let us know so that we can also be prepared for any unusual delays.

Here is what I know

These could be the reasons in my case

INS usually takes long time to pull out the old file,
and they have taken all the time to adjust the old LC.

Yes the old LC had approved I-140 and was also filed for consulate processing, and documents were lying in my country.
So the documents were also pulled from my country counsulate.

Then RFE, for financials documents of my company...

Yes fax inquiries helped a lot, and my lawyer followed up a lot with INS.

But I am still waiting for I-140 approval, expecting to come soon.

Thank God and thanks to INS for bringing up the new rule,
which allows me to file I-485. I am glad
 
Hi :

This is the same with my case.
The LC my lawyer used had been used for someone whose
I-140 was approved.
Later the I-140 was withdrawn.

The file with the LC is in my home-country.

It's been 14 months now and INS has n't been able to
do anything about this ...

There have been cases which have even got the LC--GC
process done in 14 months ... our's has n't moved ahead
in 14 months .

So what can be done to move such cases ?

How long did it take for INS to get the LC-file from
y'r country ?

Congrats for the approval.
Is it 140 approval or 485 ?

Finall my I-140 got approved and I have filed I-485.

The new rule (No need to wait for I-140 approval to file I-485) is useless in my case, I had to wait ONE year THREE months fot I-140 approval.
