My I-140 application date is May 31 2006. Current processing date is May 30 2006. My H1 expires on Jan 15 2007 (just 10 days away).
Since I donot think I would have an approved I-140 by then, I would like to apply for a 3 year H1-B extension immediately. It is anyway going to be a pending case for the next 2-3 months at least. Definitely within the next month my approved I-140 should come through since I am just 1 day behind the current date. So once it gets approved can I have the H1 amended with the approved I-140 ?
Kindly clarify if this is possible .
