I-140 should be filed from Nebraska only ?

Hi Gurus -
I Got my Labor approved finally , after it was pending In Backlog Reduction center Dallas, My Question an need help- Is it required that I-140 has to be filed from Nebraska only as Labour was filed intially by my employer from Chicago.

I have heard that if Labor has been filed from Chigao and gets cleared via BR center Dallas, then I-140 needs to be filed from Nebraska only ?.. Need help as I would like to file it from CA where I am working. Is it possible ?

AP LUD: 09/14/05 (wife, approved)
EAD LUD: 09/21/05 (wife, approved)

11/07/05 - calles USCIS and started enqurity on I140 and it
takes one month to get the feedback)


Any one knows why delay on my I140?

you may get the absolute answer from your lawyer. But I know one of my friend got his labor approved from Chicago and applied for his I-140 and I-485 from Vermont.

my employer sent my I140 docs/petition to Nebraska Service Center via regular U.S.mail on April 7th, 2006. but I still not received RECEIPT NUMBER.

my case details are:
EB3, Substitute LC.

any one applied in april'2006 got receipt number? please update.
