I-140 receipt

Greets Folks,

I-140 filed on Aug 19th, 2003 at BCIS VT based on labor substitution pending receipt till date. My company however confirmed that the check for $135/- (I-140 filing fee) was encashed by BCIS.

Does this mean that I-140 is in process? Can I expect receipt notice sometime mid Oct 2003?

I appreciate if someone can share their experiences on similar situation.
 
Usually the receipt number will be on the back of the check. Your I-140 application will be in the line now. My experience is that the receipt notice is issued within 2-3 weeks.

Does it take a month to issue receipt notice????

I've sent my stuff on Sep 22. I guess I can expect recipt notice at end of oct or mid nov..
