I-140 receipt and process date

My company filed for I-140 in May 2003 (with Concurrent I-485) and was denied on Dec 22nd 2003 for ability to pay issue, since we only sent in tax returns without any analysis.
In between two other people got approved from the same comapny, one whois working there on H-1 in June and other a new employee in October. Company has over $600,000 in payroll expenses.
All filings are done at Vermont Service Center.
We refiled in June 18th 2004 (thru a different attroney) with a brief analysis which shows in our opinion enough money to cover the wages. Company on average spending over $200,000 a year on outsourcing which will not be required if hired and the new attroney feels comfortable with this analysis by CPA.
Even though we got EAC # from cancelled check, neither attorney nor the employer has recived the actual receipt for the I-140 yet. Current date for I-140 at Vermont shows it is Sept 29. 2004. We have not recived any communication from USCIS yet. Should we worry about it ? It is over 90 days from June 18th 2004, the date they recived I-140 application.Should I also apply for I-485, if so will it be considered concurrent?

How do the company go about getting the original receipt from USCIS. I am afraid that they may have wrong address (typo ?)for the company and communication is lost. If they did ask for more evidence does the date or mesg changes on website case status ?
Any help or input is appreciated
