My I-140 was filed last year on 09/05/2003 using a substitute labor. Lawyer suggested to file the 485 later on.

As we know there are lots of approvals coming for Sep,Oct,Nov,03 cases, I have not seen any change for my case yet...! Amost 15 months...! Lawyer said they can not send query till BCIS crosses the RD ....! I am just worried...!

Is there any one else with simmiular situation ? What is the best way to get the status on my case ?

Dude... if you have filed in EB3, better file 485 quickly so that you can atleast get to AOS stage before your visa dates retrogress. Once you have filed 485, you will be in status even if your H1 expires and can use EAD to work and AP to travel.

Don't wait... now. Actually it is puzzling why your 140 has taken so long whereas the standalone 140s are getting cleared in 3-4 months now. File your 485 quickly and you may get both 140 and 485 cleared by end of this year.

I have applied the 485 last week only and Still waiting to get the receipt notice...! As I am on 7th year extension already, I just went ahead with 485.

But still not understanding what could have caused my I-140 to delay and how can I check the status on it ? My case is EB2.

I am sure that my lawyer has sent a copy of the original LC when my I-140 was applied. I will double check with them and confirm. Is there any other way I can do the status check on my case ?

EB3 Sep 19 2003 140 and 485 concurrent. No updates so far. Diff is my FP was done in dec 2003 and still says pending review for the FP.
