I-140 processing delay: Missing original ETA-750 in I-140 application

Please see what I received form CSC as explanation for why I-140 is not approved yet. My RD is April 14th 2005.

"This file does not have the original ETA 750. The original ETA 750 is
located at
the National Records Center. The original file has been requested but
has
not
arrived as of yet. Once the file arrives, the I-140 will be processed."

Does anyone know what this is all about? Anyone with similar experience? How (and why) would the ETA go to the National Records Center. Cant believe their incompetence.

Well...these are the reasons that they have given me so far:

a) Name check pending
b) Waiting for RFE response on 485 applciation (birth certificate RFE)
c) Original ETA is missing and is with National Records CEnter

I dont know what the heck to believe. The last one sounds most believable since its the most unusual. I cant believe these guys get paid to do all this.

Is your Name check cleared?
 
Waiting for Original ETA

This happens for substituion case when we apply for the I140 with a copy of the labor. Theoritically they need to get the original ETA before thay start processing the labor. I am not sure what might be happening in reality.

Lets hope in your case they will find the original ETA soon.

They did find my ETA. They had also given otehr reasons like name check and waiting on RFE on 485. I sent them an e-mail citing all the "different" resaons they had given me and asked which of them was true. They came back saying I should ignore all the previous reasons and my I-140 will be approved soon. This was last Friday. My I-140 was approved this Tuesday.
