TSC update

I-140’s

Effective November 4, 2002 all I-140 Processing will be located in the Adjustment Product Line.
A date for beginning I-140 Premium Processing has not been given by INS Headquarters.

I-140 processing was moved to the I-140 product line (for all the practical difference that makes) to facilitate concurrent filing of the I-140 and I485.

This has nothing to do with Premium Processing.

What means product line

Jim

what means I-140 product line.

How different to previous processing procedure.

I filed I-140 at TSC at June 7, 2002, but I have not yet received any information from TSC. even the processing time in TSC is 8/29/03. Is my i140 moved to the product line.

Thank you very much for your help.

I have no idea what INS' internal processing procedures are. As far as I know, a "product line" is who is responsible managerially for processing. As I said "(for all the practical difference that makes)".

As far as I can tell, what product line something is in is irrellevant to everyone but INS officials.

TSC I-140 processing time updates are True????

I don't think so, TSC center moved I-140's 4 months at a time for some reason. But all(most of them for sure) I-140 cases are still pending from May'2002.

Any comments are welcome....

Tx11,

I agree your suggestion.

But Why?

My layer told me there is a Background check for every applicant in FBI. INS is waiting for the results from FBI. Once they got result,
they will decide whether give approval or not.

I did not hear the same story from another sources.

did you?

I don't know

I don't know about that.

But when i contacted INS TSC center regarding my I-140 , they said they assigned my case to Immigration Officer in Dec'2002 and waiting for decision from Immigration officer. Usually it will not take that much time, once they assigned to officer, But now it is taking for some reason. I don't know why???

Temporary Protective Service (TPS) Project

There is a deadline on I-765 El Salvador TPS cases. These cases must be completed by March 9, 2003 . The two-month window receipts for these cases were enormous. To meet the timeline it was necessary to shift resources to this effort. This is only a temporary measure that will slightly affect productivity.
Cases past the processing due dates, and cases for which principals have been approved but family members are awaiting action, will be processed immediately upon termination of the TPS project. Age-out cases continue to be processed.
