Hi Gurus,

I was informed by my attorney that DHS will soon be starting premium processing of I-140s - to be approved/denied in 15 days. Is there any truth to this and if yes what is the expected time frame when they will be starting this?

Please reply.

This just doesn't make sence. I-140 is pretty fast to be approved. I-485 is contrarary. That is where everybody gets stuck! It would make more sence to have premium processing of I-485.
But maybe it is true, and there will be Premium for I-140...

I heared the same thing too.. I-140 PP was proposed i think in 2002.. but now now one needs PP for I-140.. plus what is the point in speeding I-140 when I-485 will be stuck in retrogression?

There Is A Need For Pp 140 Guys, People Applied For Vsc Have Longer Wait Times.during This Time H1b Expires Then There Is No Status To Stay I N Us, H1b1 Can Be Extended After 140 Approval, I Hope Pp Comes True

wrong. you can use EAD to stay in US legaly after i140/i485 filed.
I wouldn't mind PP for i140 though. mine is pending for 45 days in VSC and i'm not influenced by retro yet

you cannot apply for ead if you are from retro country , you cannot file 485 . 485 should be pending to apply for ead, PP for 140 should help these guys

Well, that explains why PP for I-140 is needed. Had no idea, since only in the third year of H1-B...

PP for I 140 really helps for people who already did concurrent filing,
got EAD and waiting for 140 approval.

Even though we can use EAD to maintain legal status, it is not safe bet until I 140 approves.

Where did you hear that?

Where did you hear about I-140 premium processing?

I've been for more than 3 months but no news.
