I-140 pending, H1 expiring

My I-140 is pending for over 50 days now . But my H1 is expiring soon . I have caputed all the time spent outside US on H1 , which means if my I-140 does not come before H1 expires, I have to leave the country.

My company has offered me to work from India office. As per HR, I can work from India office till my I-140 gets approved. they can then file H1-extension after I-140 approval Is this correct?

Any information you have is appreciated
 
If you have already completed 6 years and if your case is not with labour pending then you cannot file for H1 extension(I am not attorney)
Once you go to India office you cannot get another H1 before a gap of 1 year.

File for Extension right away. Since labor has been approved, you will get 1 year extension. I-140 approval is required for 3 year extension.

Do not wait. Otherwise you will be out of status etc etc...
