Hi,
I would like to start a new thread for concurrent NIW I-140/I-485 filers with ND in Oct 2005, with CSC-TSC transfers and whose I-140s have been approved recently, to track changes or approvals with their I-485.
It would be great if those of you in this situation can start contributing to this thread.
Thanks.

from india

Hi Yojlee,
thanks for your reply and the encouragement?
I'm from India. Does that change the scenario about your thoughts on my I-485 acceptance?
Are you frm India too?

I'm sorry GCforTravel. I didn't know you are from India. As you might know, people from some countries such as India and China are retrogressed due to per-country limit. According to the current visa bulletin, they will process EB2 case Indian this month who has the priority date on or earlier than Jan 1st, 2003. With this speed, you will get your 485 approved three and half years later.
Basically, you are not limited by TSC processing speed, but the visa quata imposed by DOS. Check the following web site:

i agree that it is now country bound but like to diagree that it will/might take 3.5 years.....the mathematics is mystery which is difficult to calculate!!!!

so, my case is retrogressed?

In that case, what did I gain by rushing to put my I-140/I-485 concurrent filing case together to file before the end of Sept. 2005?
In Sept. 2005, all EB2 cases were current so shouldn't my case not be retrogressed? I'm sure there are many more people in similar situation as mine, filed around the same time.

Hi, yojlee and eb1doc and others, I'm from one of the retrogression countries. I have an RIR/Eb2 labor certification pending for over two years. I'm wondering if it worths all my efforts to file an NIW at this time? The only incentive for my filing an NIW is time. Do you know what would be the average time for a person from retrogression countries to get a green card through NIW?
