I-140 /I-485 concurrent question

What will happen if I-140 and I-485 (and EAD) was applied concurrently, and
if I-140 was rejected for some reason, and
the person had started using his EAD.

I-485 will most likely get denied and so EAD also could become invalid.

What if at that time, person files the case to AAU for I-140? Would I-485 and EAD would be considered valid, and would the person be considered in legal status?
 
I know after I-140 deniel you will not get renewal on EAD but I am not sure if you can work until the validity of EAD. Because I-131 and I-765 are give to applicant whos applications are in process, until the decision is made. My friends I-140 was denied and before he did AAU his EAD expired he applied at NSC after 90 days he went to local office they didnt issue EAD because his I-140 was denied. He told them about AAU but nope.... they didnt renew it.

I-485 will not move until any decision is made regarding I-140. So your I-485 will be on hold. I dont know if priority date will change or not.
