I-140/I-485 concurrent filing confusion

I filed my I-140/I-485 on 07/23/2003 (N.D.-07/24/2003) at TSC. TSC processing times indicates that they are still processing I-140 filed in 05/2003. I checked my case status, it indicates that my I-140 was approved on 11/17/2003 and an approval notice was mailed to me. I haven't received any approval notice. I also got Finger Printed on 22/10/2003 for I-485. My I-485 case status indicates that my FP were collected on 22/10/2003 and are pending review.

Has anyone else been in the same situation? I don't know if there is an error in my case status report or if my I-140 is really approved. Has anyone else been finger printed within 3 months of applying for I-485?

did you talk to ins folks? and file a case status referral?
 
Don't they send the I-140 approval notice to your employer?
If I were you, I would check with him for that.
And yes, I got my fingerprint done within 3 months of my I-485 being sent.

USCIS Update

Called up USCIS. They said my I-140 is approved and asked me to file I-824 if I haven't received the approval notice. Filing fee is $195 :(
 
FOIA it

cyberpirate,

Use FOIA rather than 824. With 824 you will be stuck for another year. There is a way in FOIA to get the labor 750A & B and 140 approval notices. It works and you will get it in a month's time.

will_get_there, Thanks for your suggestion buddy, I will pursue just that. I-824 will take me no where even I shell out $$$. TSC is currently working on I-824 filed in 10/2002 :eek:
