My original intention was to go for Consular Processing but with a few delays, is applying for a 'semi-concurrent' I-485 a good choice in my case.
I don't know what the RFE is for yet. If I submit my I-485 in Nov 04 and answer the I-140 RFE on the same month, when would the I-485 be approved?
If my I-140 is approved (God willing), I should be portable on April 05. But will the I-485 be approved before Nov05 -- assuming the current 1yr timeline are kept? Could it be picked up when they review my I-140 and approve both at the same time?
My CSC case details
I-140 RD 12/30/03
I-140 RFE 10/28/04 (LUD changed 2x before)
I-485 -- have not applied.
Last year, I could use an AC140, but know my consulate requires an approved I-824 now.
