Hi,
My current employer has applied for my 1-140 in the EB2 category. But due to unfortunate circumstances, I\'ve to quit the job. Considering the fact that my employer may not withdraw my I-140 application, is it possible for me to retain my priority date when I apply for the GC through my new employer. Also, is it required by immigration laws for the employer to notify INS about my departure and thereby withdraw my application.
Any insight in this matter will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your time.
