I 140 got approved when should I file for I485

Hi,

My I 140 got appoved last week.
My lawyer said that I have to wait until my Priority Date is current.
My Approval notice is showing a PD of Jan 2006. Anydody know how long it will take for this PD (Jan 2006) to be current.

I have a similar situation. My I140 got approved this morning (June 12th). I spoke with my lawyer and they said the dates for Indian citizens are not current yet.

Any idea what is happening on this front? And, would anybody be willing to give me a link to a page which will show the current priority dates for the I485 application, please?

Check Visa Bulletin For Priority Dates

Check following link for Monthly visa bulletin. It is published around 15th of every month
