How long does it usually take for I-140 (eB3) to be processed?
I am here on H1B status, which expires July 30, 2007.
My employer has started the PERM process.
We have DOL approval.
Should we do Premium Processing with our I-140, or do we have time to be approved before July 30th?

DEFINITELY do premium processing. After the I-140 is approved, you can extend your H-1B for 3 years based on the approved I-140: https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/jsps/ptimes.jsp;jsessionid=cISTiflRrGL6
As you can see, they are backlogged with I-140 dates right now, and after the cap opens for H-1B, it will slow even more.
And FYI - EB3 is considered the "Skilled Worker" category, in case you needed to know when reading the processing times on the above page.

GOD only knows that...there is no way u can answer that unless u have extra $1000 to spend which means 2 weeks. I am stuck from last over 9 months and dates they show on websites are 3 months ahead of my case and since my case was filed I have seen just one computerized LUD i.e 7/22 and NO updates till then.

So go for perm if u have money or else file it and wait forever

Definitely a sticky situation, not one I'd like to be in. Have you placed a status query? You can place one every 60 days, so if they are processing 3 months ahead of your case, I'd definitely call your attorney and have him/her place a status query immediately. SOMETIMES in our past experience, after placing a query, sometimes they'll respond (like if they forgot about it or something, this wakes them up, sort of.)
