How about if I've had a new job in the US, however, the new employer hasn't filed AC21 yet. Is it still safe to use AP to enter US?

How long do I have to look for the next emplyer after being laif off? Can it be three month? If it's not safe to leave US without having a job, does that mean I'd better not to leave US when I am looking for a job?

Travel to India w/AP

Hi All,
I am also planning for a trip to India, I will be leaving on 24th Nov and will be returning back here on 25th Dec. I have changed my job after I140 approval and I-485 > 180 days, I do have a valid EAD/AP which will expire on June 2005. Is it safe to go to India in this situation. If so then all documents do I need to carry with me while re-entering here. Last year also I went to India alsmost @ the same time. Used AP while re-entering here. Had no problem with it. @POE the office was nice just asked my AP documents, nothing else. But this time my employer got changed, and not sure is there any problem or not while re-entering here.
Any help/advice will be highly appreciated.

Thanks

Rajibda

Future GC, travel with AP

I have a valid H1 until June 2006, however no H1 stamp for the current employer. My first H1 stamp was with previous employer which has expired 2 years ago.

Mine is a future GC, I140 approved and I485 almost there. I have to travel to India In November on advance parole. I do not intend to go for H1 visa stamping. Is it ok for me to get back on AP and continue working on H1. Several people on forum feel it is ok. Also a quote was mentioned from Murthy's site. 'UnitedNations' what is your opinion on this. Should I go on the sponsoring employer's payroll and play it safe atleast for travel purpose.

I do not see any problem here. Once I-140 approved, you can even stay home. The job is only required technically to response the RFE when you get RFE on you I-485.

Same case/question as mine. RAJUDM, let me know what happened when you get back using your AP. My H1 stamp is also expired and I don't wanna get new stamp when I travel to my home country. Am planning to acquire Advance Parole and use it. Thx!
