Hello folks,
Could any one tell me about how to get the I-140 EAC #? My lawyer told me that as per our company policy, he cannot give out the RD/ND/EAC#. Except the mailing date (03/01.02), I have no idea about my case. Is there any work around to know the status?
Any response will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Lahari

No Title

To my knowledge you have to have a EAC number. don\'t bother about RD and ND. You can always get them by calling AVM. But EAC is must.

Better not to check AVM???????????????????

Below is the email I got from my attorney.
Lahari,
I\'m not sure what you mean by "RD" and "ND". Also, we are unable to
release your EAC number no matter what. The INS has received so many
inquiries from xxxxx employees that it has slowed their system which means
it takes longer to process applications. They won\'t tell you anything
until your petition is approved anyway, and we will know only a couple days
after when we receive the receipt notice. We will contact you as soon as
possible after receiving the receipt notice. At that point, we will also
contact your manager to ask him/her to complete the continued authorization
forms on your behalf.
Regards,
xxxx

Depends on when you send in the applications - it could take up to 2 weeks...

for you or your lawyer to get the EAC##.

I think inquiry he meant is calling their customer service representatives - and if they have to check constantly into their system - it will sure slow down the database (similar to booking flight tickets) - I think this is separate from the phone AVM system...

Some company does have the policy of not giving out EAC#s for I-140, it is better to check with you HR manager first.

I-140 EAC#

You need to have the EAC# to find the status of your application. The only way you can get this is either from your attorney or you could sweet talk one of your HR folks to get this number from your firm retained attorney. The EAC# will be on the receipt which will be sent to your attorney by INS.

I is not necessary for your firm retained attorney to give you the EAC# since this is a petition filed by the company you work for.

Good luck!!

Thank you

KKimm and Vault,

Thank you for your reply. But, unfortunately I couldn\'t convince myHR people also. We have ~70,000 employees, out of which ~20,000 are H1\'s. May be that\'s the reason for our HR. Can I call INS customer service number and request them to look for my case number based on my last name? Does it put my case in risk? If not, could you folks let me know the VSC customer service number? Other wise, the only chance I have is to compare my case with March tracker.

Thanks,
Lahari

You acting like a kid. Read what other pepole suggested you.

You have absolutely nothing to do if your employer dont give you the EAC number and you also cannot get that information from INS too. INS wont talk the applicant for I-140. Now sit tight and relax. Your employer is not screwing you. they are following the system and stop whining.

Thanks

Habib,
Thanks for the nice words (kid???). You better follow some house rules. If not, don\'t even bother to reply to the questions. We all here just to get some information, not to act like a kid\'s. It would be nice, if you can realize that.

You must follow the house rule first, and stop asking same BS again and again.. and learn how to use

You are such a moron, you cant even get the information from already posted answere. Check your previous posting of your column, you will get all the answere. But insted of doing that, you asking same bullsh** again and again.
