I-140 EA approval petition how long valid before I-485 application

Can anybody tell me how long I-140 EA(EB1 category) is valid before I-485 application.

I mean to say how long I can wait before applying I-485.

How long valid? - Forever.

How long you can wait? - No limits as such - but thumb rule is within a year(preferably).
