Hello guys,
I filed form ETA 750 3 years ago - traditional recruitment. My company currently invited the 2 applicants to the interview. I hope the LC will get
certified and soon I will be able to apply for I140.
My form ETA750A lists as education requirements bachelor degree Mechanical Engineering.
I am in the 8th year as H1B and, looking today at my evaluation report that I used 4times to apply for H1B, my degree is equivalated as Bachelor in Civil Engineering. My studies and current job is closer to Mechanical Engineering than Civil Eng but Evaluator probably was lazy and called it Civil only because the university is "of civil Engineering". Is just a big discrepancy btw. the meaning of Civil Eng in the US and in my home country.
Will INS give me a hard time for this ?? One of my experience letters (I have 2) is for Mechanical Engineer. Also I worked 7 Years in the US (6 with the current employer - not that I can use those) as a Mech. Engineer...
Please help !
