You should have applied for renewal atlkeast 3 months before EAD getting expired.

But not bad, since your 140 is approved, you can request for interim EAD. But issuance is purely at the discretion of the official you meet with.

Wish u luck and post ur experience.

I dont have an EAD now. I am on H1-B. As my H1-B is expiring, I was wondering whether I can go to the local office and request for an iEAD as my I140 is approved.

Thanks

You can go to the local District office and request for interim EAD since your EAD receipt date is over 90 days.... Please post your iEAD experience on this thread.

140 approval nothing to do with EAD approval. If it is more than 90 days from your EAD RD, you can go and request at your local office for interim EAD.

Issuance of EAD at local office depends. There is no rule that they have to issue interim EAD, if it more than 90 days. Depends office to office, time to time, officer to officer, you luck and fate and timing, their mood.

Give a try if it more than 90 days. Actually on the receipt it says 60 days. But try after 90 days. Give a shot.
