My I-140 was applied 22-November-02. Then I applied I-485 with the I-140 receipt notice in MAY 2003. I got my EAD also in July 2003. Today I was informed that My I-140 has been approved on 19-SEP-03.It was applied in EB3 category. So good luck to everybody and it appears more Nov/Dec-2002 I-140 approvals will come soon.

Looks like the theory that BCIS is going with I-485 ND date is not correct.

Are there any cases recently where I-140 is approved and I-485 not filed yet?

Social Security number for spouse

My I-140 was approved few weeks back and we have EAD also because we applied I-485 concurently (7 months after applying I-140) . Can spouse get the Social Security number now? Or is there any criteria that even if one has EAD he/she has to get employment to get Social Security number.?What are documents needed to get Social Security number ?
