Field: Biomedical, cancer research
PhD from a top 3 university in US
Journal Paper: 8 (half are first author)
conference paper/proceeding: 20+ (most are first author)
Reviewer for a top journal in the field
professional members (Sigma Xi, .....)
6 reference letters. (all of them are from big guys in the field, inclduing one from Government Agency. 4 of them have never worked with the petitioner)

some thought on NIW at CSC:
* Recommendation letter(s) from government agency (such as NIH, .....) will be a big plus. otherwise, you will be very likely to get RFE
* The quality of recommendation letter is more important than quantity, 5-7 strong letters should be enough
