I am right now H1B. I had I-140 approved on September 16 this year, I have I-485 pending (I filed them concurrently).
My question is the 180 days for the I-485 count from the receipt date/notice date to get the AC21 portability and change to a similar job ? Or the 180 days count from the date I-140 was approved.
I need to know this because I do not know if I can get the new job offer in January or I have to wait till March refering to the 180 days that I-485 has been pending.
I need to know also if I can use my I-765 immediately with the new employer as a fast an easy way or can I ask them to apply for a transfer of my H1B.
