My wife\'s I-140 has just been approved (EB 3), and we are in the stage of filing I-485.
As her depedent, I am not currently in the States (she is), so the question arise.
There are 2 possible ways
1) I apply a H-4 visa and go to US, then we file I-485 together. However, due to certain reason
I can\'t be there until 6 months later, this cause a significiant delay for both of us.
2) We file separately. She file I-485 now, 6 months later I arrive US (using H-4) and file
my I-485.
So my question is, Is there a significiant delay (say, much more than 6 months) for me to
get I-485 approved by using the second way? what influence to hers?
I don\'t like to go througth CP because in the mean time I can\'t apply a visa to visit her in US.
Which way do you recommand? any input is welcome.
TIA
