I-140 approved , I-485 applied, H1- 8th year

Hello Gurus,

1. I(along with family) applied for my I-485 in Aug '07.
2. I-140 got approved in Sep '07
3. My 8th yr H1 would expire in April '08
4. My driver license will also expire in April '08

What are my next steps? Do I get H1 extension OR as I am 485(adjustment) pending status, it would be different?

Either H-1B or EAD will allow you to work and preserve status. However, your H-1B status is a handy backup, in case the I-485 application does not works out (rarely happens).

I agree with above. If you are from a retrogressed country then you can have the H-1 extended in 3 years intervals instead of yearly.
