Hello Folks,

This thread is mainly intended for those who are going for Consular Processing and whose I-140 has recently been approved. Others, however are most welcome to share their relevant experiences.

My I-140 (EB3/NSC) was approved on June 9, 2004 but the NVC has not created my case so far.

I've virtually put my life and my career on hold for this piece of plastic as I'm sure many of us have too. Together we can share our experiences and assist each other in this final leg of the journey.

I look forward to hear from you. Good luck to you all in the meantime.

Hi there,

Due to a glitch in my labor certification I'd to file within EB3 category instead of EB2. This proved to be a boon for me as my application was approved roughly within a month since EB3 in NSC is the fastest category as of now. FYI, I filed for my I-140 on May 3rd and the application was approved on June 9th.

I wish you good luck!!

Hi Ifeellucky!

Your and my cases seem very similar.

Filed under EB1/I-140 on 20th Feb at NSC. Got approval on 7th June (not as fast as your case). However since then not reached to NVC.

I am also scheduled for New Delhi consular processing. I stay in Illinois. Where are you.

Any idea, if we need Police recor and Birth certificate just now or only at the time of consular processing?

Regards

Hi Baldoor,

It's good to know someone whose case is so similiar to mine. Welcome to the club :) I live in Michigan so I'm not too far from where you live.

As far as I know, we'll need the PCC and the BC during the final stage (Packet 4) and when we appear for the actual interview. I'll plan to get my PCC from the chicago consulate once I receive the P3 from NVC. As for the BC I could only get a no-entry certificate instead of the actual one. In case you haven't I'd recommend that you get you BC ASAP to avoid any delays. Also, have you entered your details at www.cptracker.com?

Meantime, if there is any development in our repective cases let's keep each other informed since ours is so similiar that we might end up interviewing around the same time. This means that we'll be going through the pangs of arranging docs, filling forms etc. and the inevitable waiting for response, together.

I wish you all the best and in case there is anything that you wish to discuss and cannot discuss on this board please feel free to email me.
