I have heard that i can keep the PD.

does that mean, after my next I-140 is approved with my new employer, i can use the old I-140 & labor approved documents to claim old PD and file my I-485 as soon as my old PD becomes current.

I think this might not be a good idea, as I have heard a very recent case about the same..where the employer revoked the I-140 and the person has to start the H1B with the new company again and go over the crap from beginning...

Talk to your Lawyer...

I do not mind going thru the whole process again.....because my PD is Aug 2005, EB3-india.
i am sure i cannot stick with my current employer for the next 6 years.

but from what i have read on this forum, even if my employer revokes my I-140, i should be able to keep the PD, is this wrong??

Sure...if you plan to go over the process then Yeah..you will have the same PD in the new process you will start with the new employer...

gc143......do you mean to say....i will have the same PD as my new labor............or i will be able to retain my old pd?

Its not completely clear but I believe if your employer revokes your approved i-140 then you can't retain the old PD for any new application

is there any cost involved in revoking a I-140?
assuming that labor substitution will be gone for good, revoking a I-140 will not benefit an employer much, and since so far my relationship with this employer has been smooth, i expect that he wont go to that trouble.
