I-140 Approved, Change job?

Hello folks,

I got my I-140 approved last June 2006. Currently the priority date for EB3(my category) is 22Apr01. Can I leave my employer after 6 months with I-140 approved by not filed 485 yet? and continue the same priority date. Am I allowed to apply 485 from the new employer? Please let me know.
Otherwise can I change jobs to different dept within the smae employer.

Please help me to understand the clear situation.

In the event that you change your employer, You will have to refile for LC and 140 with your new employer. While applying for the new 140, you would need to mention in the form the details about your existing 140 approval and its PD.

Apparently there have been cases where the old PD has been retained if the above process is followed.

Changing the field of work would result in a completely new app and process, as far as I know.

Other Gurus - I stand corrected if I disbursed any wrong opinions. feel free to correct me if thats the case.
