I-140 Approved but no FP yet

I have a couple of questions . . would appreciate any information/suggestions.

1) My I-140 (applied in July 2002) was recently approved (Jan 2003) and I have also received my EAD and AP. However, I have still not received FP notices. Please advise if this delay is normal or unusual.

2) My son (born in USA and hence a US citizen) is now currently in India with his grandparents. It has been nearly 5 months since he has been out of the country. Is it required to register his passport information at the US embassy in India? If not, would there be any problems when we bring him back into the country later this year? Please advise.

Thanks.

When did you apply for I-485 and which center? If it's vermont,
typically a person receive FP notice within two or three months after the ND of I-485. Call and verify if address is correct and if
they sent FP notice.

You supposed to give finger prints within 90 days of receving
FP notice.

No Two Finger Prints are Alike (and neither are FP schedules)

I got my FP notice in a month of getting notice date. Wife get hers 6 months later. BCIS uses a private company for FP scheduling, and it seems like being illogical and disorganized were the core competencies for which BCIS selected it.

Hang in there. You should get it soon. The online status will let you know if the FP notice was sent out.
