I have I-140 approval but cannot apply for I-485 till my priority date is current. My company wants to transfer me to another location. I had heard that I will have to re-apply for LC and I140 from the new location. But, I also have heard that if my company transfers me to another location with a promotion, then I can still keep my current GC process and dont have to re-file for new LC and I140. Is there a rule like that with the USCIS? Can anyone please let me know if this is correct? I dont know what to do. I will appreciate your response. Thanks.
