I 140 Approved !!! Am in Dreaming ?

Hello All,

Just wanted to let you all know:

Vermont service center

I 140 notice dt: October 10th 2002, Approval: May 12th, 2003 .

My I 485 and EAD applications is pending with Vermont since April 2003.

CAN I CHANGE JOBS NOW ?
CAN MY CURRENT EMPLOYER ASK BCIS TO CANCEL MY APPROVED I 140 ??
CAN the I 485 petion be withdrawn by my employer ???

Please advice guys.

Didn't get my I140 approval yet? Is there anyone in this form have applied in September 2002 and still waiting for I140 approval? Any feedback is appreciated!

Please put your information in I-140 Sept tracker. Even my RD and ND are same as yours.

GC_seeker_CA, you cannot change jobs

Now that you have your i140 (and many congratulations on that), i applied 15 days after you, hopefully i get it soon to.

Calculate how many days have passed since you applied 485, if 6 months then you can switch jobs. Check with a lawyer to see what you need to do when you make the switch so that your current employer's request to cancel your application is not acted upon by INS because you have switched using AC21 benifit.

The question is can an employer cancel an aproved I 140 even after 6 months of pending I 485 ?

If Yes, then what is the point of having a portability law ?
