I-140 Approval

Dear friends
Today I received an e-mail notification of the approval of my I-140 application. It was a long long journey. I applied in March 2004 under the category of EB1 outstanding researcher. In August 26, 2005 I received an RFE asking about the permanent nature of position. We replied to RFE on September 9, 2005. Didn’t here anything till last week so contacted a Senator to help me. It worked and today I got my approval letter. This forum was a great help. I appreciate all you guys for your support and encouragement. Wish you all the best for friends who are still waiting for approval. You all will be in our prayers.

My I-140 pending for longtime since April'04.I haven't recd any RFE on I-140.I'm planning to take senator's help.But my question is my labour approved from IOWA state and I-140&485 filed @ NSC only.When we filed 140&485 i was in Newjersey and we filled up all the forms with NewJersey address.Later on i moved to VA and notified to my new address to USCIS.So now if i want to conatct senator do i need to contact VA senator or IOWA senator?.Can you please clarify me..?.I would appreciate your help.

Hi Mahi
You should contact a senator from the State where you live. As soon as I Phone the senator's office the first question they asked was "where do you live". All senators have their web sites so you can send your request by e-mail. After sending my request I call his office to make sure that they got my e-mail. Wish you good luck.

11/07/05 - calles USCIS and started enqurity on I140 and it
takes one month to get the feedback)


Any one knows why delay on my I140?
