I-140 Application Question

I recently received the Labor Certification (priority date Mar 25, 2004).
Now, gearing up for I-140 filing. :)

Got a quick question about "The date of last port of entry".

I visited Canada recently for pleasure by car and came back. They did not issue new I-94 as my existing I-94 and visa is still valid. No stamping nothing. So, do I need to use the old port-of-entry date which has corresponding I-94 record or put the date I entered back to USA via Car but give old I-94 number?

buddy,
when it comes to immigration to the US. Be as honest as possible. That is my only advise. Even if you do something without any bad intent it could hurt you in the future.

good luck

Thanks for your reply.
My confusion is based on this.
You put a port of entry as latest entry via car but the I-94 DOES NOT corresponds to the date as I entered a year ago. How does this make sense? Is this necessary, to create confusion?
My lawyer tells me to put the information based on I-94 I have.

Having said what I said in my earlier response. I would have done exactly what you did. Discuss it with my lawyer. I would recommend you to do whatever the lawyer says, as long as he is aware of all the facts.

good luck
