I-140 and I-485 from different centers

Hi!

Those who have filed I-140 and I-485 from different centers, can you please
share your experiences wrt processing time, RFEs, etc.

After seeing the LUDs and approvals in this forum, I am feeling that concurrent applications have a good advantage and their applications are being worked on. Non concurrent filers or people filing I-140 from CSC and I-485 from other centers have a disadvantage and their applications are kind of lagging behind.
For example, My I-140 was filed from CSC on Feb-03-2004, and I-485 is Mar-2004 from VSC and both applications are still untouched. My friend filed both 140 & 485 from CSC, same EB3 category and is getting LUD updates and have got a RFE on I-140.

Anybody with similar / different experiences?

No, filing at different centers did nothing to do with denial..however...
when I got denial, I decided to do both: file an appeal, and file another I-140 using a good employer, and I happened to fing a good employer (university) on east cost, so I moved there...to file another I-140 I needed some time working for the new employer... meanwhile my appeal got approved :-)))
so i did not need filing I-140 and I just filed I-485, to VSC and not CSC, because I was in Maryland (still am) at the time of filing I-485.
My I-140 was NIW and so I think does not matter where I work..
Now my I-485 is pending for more than 1 year, but I don't see any problems related to the fact it was filed to a different center. I explained (when filed) that it is my current residence and this is why filing with different center.
recently I has my FP notice..looks like they are processing it normally as other people's I-485's...

For I-140 at CSC, I definitely see some bias towards concurrent filers at same center. For people who filed I-140 & I-485 at CSC, they are getting their I-140 approvals / RFEs for applications filed as late as March end. My I140 was filed on Feb-03-2004 as mentioned earlier and since I was in NJ then, 485 was applied at CSC on Mar-18-2004.
Both my applications are not touched yet. Lets see how it goes...
